At Essential Communication, Inc. our vision is that when our time with a child and their family comes to an end we will know that we helped the …

… child see the incredible worth inherent in himself and in others.
… child see the value of good communication and improve his ability to communicate his thoughts and dreams effectively.
… child not only to learn, but to learn how to learn.
… child’s family, friends and teachers understand his communicative needs and how to facilitate his success as a communicator.
AND  ... we had fun all along the way.

To achieve our vision we pledge…
… to see the child as a whole person; with cognitive, communicative, social, emotional and physical developmental needs.
… to create a safe environment where structure and clear expectations will help the child succeed.
… to praise not only the child’s strengths and accomplishments, but his willingness to risk and to endure failure for the chance to grow.
… to listen as much as we talk or teach.
… to provide opportunities for the child to succeed in front of those individuals of greatest importance in his life.
… to continuously grow in our understanding of communication impairments, related disabilities and  their treatment and to share the relevant information with the family and other professionals working with the child.
We look forward to sharing daily successes with you and your child as we work together to help your child grow strong in a world that is both defined by and experienced through communication.
